Odigie-Oyegun Committee disqualifies 10 APC presidential aspirants

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Screening Committee has said it disqualified 10 out of the 23 aspirants seeking the 2023 presidential ticket of the ruling party.

John Odigie-Oyegun, the Chairman of the screening Committee disclosed this while submitting report of the carried out exercise between last Monday and Tuesday to the National Chairman of APC, Sen Abdullahi Adamu on Friday.

Odigie-Oyegun did not however disclose the names of the aspirants that were disqualified by his committee.

Presidential aspirants who paid N100 million to buy the APC presidential nomination forms who appeared for screening before the Odigie-Oyegun Committee are Former Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba; Felix Nicholas, Uju Ken-Ohanenye; Sen Ajayi Boroffice; former President of the Senate, Ken Nnamani and Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State.

Also screened are the governor of Cross Rivers State, Ben Ayade; Senate President Ahmad Lawan; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State; Tein Jack-Rich; former Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu; Ikeobasi Mokelu; former Speaker of House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole; Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi; former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio and former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, were also screened

The Commitee also screened former Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu; Pastor Tunde Bakare; Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa; former governor of Ogun, Ibikunle Amosun; former governor of Zamfara, Sani Yerima and Rotimi Amaechi, a former minister.
