Rev. Charles Otasowie Ehanire, popularly known as Prince Charles and affectionately called Mr. O.T., is a dynamic gospel singer, songwriter, music producer, entrepreneur, and ordained minister based in the United States of America.
A native of Edo State, Nigeria, he was born on September 23, 1972, at St. Philomena Hospital, Benin City, into the polygamous family of Osaigbovo Asemota Ehanire. His upbringing in a culturally diverse environment laid the foundation for the resilience and versatility that define his life’s journey.
In 1979, at the age of seven, Charles moved to his mother’s village, Iguoloinisi, where he lived until 1986. There, he balanced formal education with hands-on farming, an experience that instilled discipline and a strong work ethic. He later attended Immaculate Conception College, Benin City, graduating in 1991.
Remarkably gifted and industrious, Charles began driving at the age of 12 and was already handling 18-wheelers and Caterpillars by 16 — a testament to his confidence and determination from a young age.
His spiritual awakening began unexpectedly. During his stay in Iguoloinisi, Charles experienced a divine encounter — a vision of Jesus Christ — even before he fully understood Christianity. That encounter planted a spiritual seed that would later blossom into his life’s calling.
In 2000, he officially began his music ministry, combining his musical gifts with a passion for worship. His anointed voice, inspiring lyrics, and electrifying stage presence have since earned him admiration across the global gospel music community.
Under the mentorship of Bishop Sunday Ashiedu, he was ordained a pastor and now serves as the General Overseer and Founder of God’s Love Divine Favor Ministry Worldwide.
Beyond the pulpit, Rev. Charles is a visionary entrepreneur. He is the CEO of Primero Dios International, with operations in Nigeria and South Africa, and the founder of both Prince Charles Clinic and Prince Charles Group of Schools International in Edo State — institutions built on academic excellence and moral discipline.
In a bold leap of faith, on June 26, 2008, he relocated to the United States with just $17 in his pocket. Through divine favor, perseverance, and hard work, he has since flourished — expanding his influence into ministry, music, real estate, and philanthropy.
A disciplined sportsman, Rev. Charles holds a black belt in Taekwondo and a green belt in Judo, and enjoys Scrabble and darts in his leisure time.
He is married to Mrs. Elizabeth Oghomwen Ehanire, and together they are blessed with three children — Oghosa Chelsea, Iwinosa Charles Jr., and Paris Iyosayi Ehanire — and a grandchild, continuing a legacy of faith, excellence, and purpose.
Known for his philanthropic heart, Rev. Ehanire devotes himself to empowering lives through service, giving, and mentorship. His life motto — “Our God is unquestionable” — remains his guiding principle in every endeavor.
In 2025, Rev. Ehanire launched two groundbreaking ventures in Lagos: Studio FILADELFIA, a creative hub reshaping Nigeria’s artistic landscape, and The Knowledge Lounge Podcast, a vibrant media platform where thought leaders, celebrities, and innovators share their stories and insights.
More than just a talk show, The Knowledge Lounge Podcast is a blend of knowledge, humor, and inspiration — fostering meaningful conversations that educate and uplift listeners. Through these platforms, Rev. Ehanire continues to empower the youth, inspire creativity, and spark purposeful dialogue that resonates across nations.
From a young boy in Benin City to a global minister and creative visionary, Rev. Charles Otasowie Ehanire’s life is a living testimony of grace, faith, and divine favour.
