The Association of Practicing Professional Project Managers of Nigeria (APPPMON) has recognized Dr. Amina Doryi, Senior Country Director of Pathfinder International, as an outstanding project manager in Nigeria’s public health sector.
In a statement issued in Abuja, APPPMON Public Relations Officer, Engr. Zakaria Mohammad Zakaria, announced that the award was part of the association’s scheduled activities for the 2025 APPPMON Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and International Women’s Day.
“As part of our commemoration, we have identified and honored an exceptional project manager in the public health sector,” Zakaria stated.
During a brief ceremony at Pathfinder International’s office, APPPMON’s Vice President (South), Arc. Emmanuel Okorie, led a delegation to present the award. He congratulated Dr. Doryi, emphasizing the importance of public health in improving the lives of women, children, and society as a whole.
Receiving the award, Dr. Doryi expressed her gratitude, saying, “It is a great joy to be recognized in this way, as our work is often done behind the scenes to impact the lives of women and children.”
The APPPMON delegation included Vice President (South) Arc. Emmanuel Okorie, Registrar Hajiya Hajara Yusuf, and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee member Qs Hauwa Abuh. Others present were Advocacy and Intergovernmental Matters Committee Chairperson Arc. Tosan Elama, PRO Engr. Zakaria M. Zakaria, and IT Officer Felix Yakubu Bulus.
