We celebrate a remarkable woman, a towering figure in Lagos Island politics, and a steadfast champion of women’s empowerment. Alhaja Muinat Abeke Ajose will attain the age of 85 on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, and we join family, friends, and admirers across Nigeria in honouring a life defined by service, courage, and enduring impact.
A pioneer within the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaja Ajose has remained unwavering in her commitment to progress, fairness, and social justice. Her life’s work reflects a deep and abiding passion for the advancement of women and girls, as well as the promotion of equity and inclusion in society.
As a mother, queen, mentor, life coach, and community leader, she has touched countless lives. Through wisdom, compassion, and quiet strength, she has inspired generations to believe in leadership anchored on integrity, empathy, and service to others.
From her early advocacy for girls’ education to her respected position today as an apex elder in Lagos Island politics, Alhaja Ajose’s journey stands as a powerful testament to what determination, purpose, and selfless commitment can achieve. Her legacy continues to light the path for emerging leaders, particularly women who draw strength from her example.
