Rev. Charles Ehanire has called on Christians to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the profound gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, describing His love as a treasure far beyond superficial human comprehension.
Ehanire, the General Overseer and Founder of God’s Love Divine Favor Ministry Worldwide, made the appeal in his Easter message delivered on Monday in Abuja.
The U.S.-based cleric said the sacrifices made by Jesus Christ for humanity transcend the limited understanding many people often have, particularly during the Easter season.
“When we reflect on His life, crucifixion, and resurrection, we begin to grasp the depth and magnitude of what He endured for humanity across generations,” he said.
He stressed that Christ’s sacrifice should not be seen merely as a historical event, but as a timeless demonstration of love, mercy, and redemption.
“His selfless acts were powerful expressions of divine love that continue to resonate through time and remain relevant to all people,” he added.
Ehanire further noted that Jesus exemplified unparalleled compassion, willingly enduring immense suffering for the salvation of mankind while remaining steadfast in His divine purpose despite severe trials.
According to him, the significance of Christ’s sacrifice extends into every aspect of Christian life, offering believers the opportunity to experience grace and forgiveness more deeply.
“As we reflect on His actions, we come to realise that the depth of His love is far greater than what a superficial understanding can capture,” he said.
