The Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko, has urged Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
Dikko made the call in Abuja at a grand endorsement event organised by the National Progressive Hub (NPH), a prominent support group of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hosting the event, Dikko highlighted what he described as key achievements of the Tinubu administration, citing reforms and innovations in sports administration spearheaded by the National Sports Commission.
He also pointed to the president’s industrialisation drive, which he said has contributed to economic stability and growth.
“President Bola Tinubu is a committed leader determined to position Nigeria among leading nations. His bold economic policies and interventions are already yielding positive results,” Dikko stated.
He further commended a recent executive bill mandating key institutions to remit internally generated revenue directly into government coffers, describing it as a major step toward strengthening public finance management and national development.
The event featured the formal inauguration of the NPH’s 36 state coordinators and its Federal Capital Territory team, alongside the unveiling of a Roadmap Framework for grassroots mobilisation aimed at securing the APC’s victory in 2027.
The NPH pledged to deploy its nationwide network to galvanized support for the president, expressing confidence that the APC would record a decisive win in the next general election.
The endorsement is widely seen as a boost to the president’s re-election prospects and an indication of growing backing within party-aligned groups.
